How did you meet and who made the first move?
We met at school and Adam made the first move.
Tell us about your engagement?
Adam proposed by Love Lake in Bruges (December 2016)
What made you choose your wedding venue?
Sophie stresses about getting ready all the time so we liked Winters Barns as everything you need is there – loved the salon and being able to get married on-site. Adam always wanted a winter wedding and the venue has that rustic vibe that we wanted. Also, can’t beat a full-size bar!
Did you have a theme or inspiration for your wedding?
Sophie’s MOH did all the decorations – we went for rustic but simple. We’re pretty relaxed people so didn’t want anything too fancy and liked the personal touch of our best friend making the decorations.
What’s your first dance song and why did you choose it?
Beyond – Leon Bridges. The lyrics are just so fitting and we didn’t want anything too lovey-dovey. The vibe of this song was just right for us. Love the build-up in the song where all our family and friends could join in.
What would be your top tip to other couples planning their own wedding?
Don’t stress the small stuff as it really doesn’t matter. You try to think of every tiny detail and think people will notice if it’s not there or perfect. In actual fact, no one even notices if your bridesmaids’ nails are not painted the exact same colour, or your groomsmen don’t have the exact same shoes.
Would you recommend me to your family & friends and if so, why?
Of course! Best and most chilled photographer out there. You made us feel at ease when taking our personal shots and that’s really important in getting natural photos that also looked good. We love your creativity and ability to handle a crowd (and MOB) too!
