Hey there, I’m Steve, a wedding photographer based in Kent, and I’m always smiling and full of enthusiasm! I absolutely love working with people who appreciate great wedding photography.
Let’s be honest, your wedding day should be about genuine smiles and laughter, not awkward poses. When you choose me, you’re not just getting a photographer; you’re getting a storyteller. I’m dedicated to creating a stunning collection of images that truly tell the story of your special day.
And let’s talk venues. Whether it’s the rustic charm of Winters Barns, the elegance of The Old Kent Barn, or the historic Cooling Castle Barn, I know just how to capture awesome photos at these iconic places.
My approach? It’s all about creating a laid-back, enjoyable atmosphere where you can be yourselves and just have fun. No stiff poses here – just some gentle guidance to document your day naturally and beautifully.
Everyone’s journey is different, and I’m so grateful to be the one capturing those all-important moments for you. There’s something really special about uniting these stories with the images I capture for couples.
From the proposals to choosing and styling your wedding venue, it’s all part of the journey, and I love sharing these moments with you.
I’m a handpicked and recommended wedding photographer at over 20 wedding venues across Kent. Here is a collection of venues that I support and love to work with.
Here’s a few frequently asked questions about my wedding photography…
My wedding photography services cover all of the Kent area of the UK. As a recommended wedding photographer at over 20 venues across Kent, my work is usually based around some of the main wedding venues in areas like Canterbury, Maidstone, Ashford and Folkestone.
I am primarily a wedding photographer local to Kent but do travel abroad for weddings. Please feel free to provide me with some details on your wedding plans so I can check my availability and provide you with a tailored quotation.
I photograph weddings using an unobtrusive approach, you will be having far too much fun enjoying yourself to even notice I’m there most of the day. I believe it’s more important to capture the actual story of your wedding day, and the real moments rather than directing your wedding day. A natural photo of you air punching because you’re finally married is way more precious than you fake laughing because your wedding photographer told you to laugh on command.
I can’t think of anything worse than posing you for every shot we take. My approach is incredibly simple… I will give you gentle direction, have some fun together and let you be you. Most of the time my couple portraits are done when we have the better light and that’s usually at the golden hour. This magical light happens when we catch the sun on its way down (usually an hour before sunset) it’s the most amazing light and the perfect time for us to capture gorgeous portraits of you both.
My biggest tip to finding a wedding photographer that’s right for you is to find someone who you feel relaxed and comfortable around. No one likes uncomfortable, posey photos. Instead I would much rather give you gentle direction that’s fun and engaging to create genuine, unposed moments between you both.
I’m a handpicked and recommended wedding photographer at over 20 wedding venues across Kent. I frequently provide wedding photography for couples at many of these. If your wedding venue is on the list below you can rest in the knowledge that I know the venue very well and have worked there many times. Here is a few of the venues I support and love to work with.
Any decent wedding photographer is likely to be taking bookings for weddings between 12-18 months in advance. I get booked up a long way in advanced but please feel free to complete my contact form check to check my availability. If I’m available, we can arrange a suitable time to meet over a zoom call and talk about your wedding in more detail.
If you are considering booking me as your wedding photographer I do require a £400 payment to secure your date with me with your full payment balance due two weeks before the big day.
Winning awards for my wedding photography is something I’m extremely proud of and love to share with you. I have a massive drive to be creative and to capture genuine moments for my couples when they choose me to document their wedding day.
I believe winning awards does help you identify exceptional wedding photography, after all, there are so many photographers and styles out there now that it can become a bit of a minefield working your way through various photographers until you find the right one for you.
Some of the best awards not only recognise great work but also recognise high levels of professionalism from the moment you enquire to the delivery of your finished wedding photos. In my ten years as a wedding photographer in Kent I have won numerous awards for the following;
Top 10 wedding photographers in the UK – Wedisson
Kent wedding photographer of the year – KWA
Regional finalist for photographer of the year (South-East of England) – TWIA
Grand member of photography – Wedisson
The entire editing process generally takes about 6 weeks before you see your finished wedding photos but between your wedding day and receiving your final images it is possible for me to share a teaser image with you to get you all excited about what’s to come.
If you are on Instagram of Facebook make sure we connect so I can tag you in any images for social media, you can find quick links to my accounts at the footer of my website pages.
Shooting any wedding is only 50% of a wedding photographer’s work. The other 50% is in post-production. This includes culling all the images to remove any where I’ve caught you off guard with your eyes half shut followed by a careful edit of each individual image.
Gallery delivery can take up to 6 weeks but I often have these delivered well within that time. Your gallery displays all your photos from the big day and I think it’s a great idea to share them with your family and friends or have them round for a few drinks so you can relive it all over again.
